A perfect Sunday afternoon stop

It was hardly a sizzling Sunday so I decided to head off the the Natural History museum and take a look at the Wildlife Photography Awards Exhibit. Definately worth a look. There were some unbelievable images on show by some truly talented photographers.

The photojournalist of the year award went to Spain's Daniel Beltra and his collection 'The Price of Oil'. Beltra's images were taken around the BP oil spill disaster of 2010. He noticed that all disaster photographs were dramatic and unattractive. He believed making his photographs beautiful would grasp people's attention more. He was right. I was in awe of his work, some of which appearing almost like abstract art. Take a look...

Beneath the Surface

After the NHM I went for some nibbles at La Cave a Fromage near South Ken Tube Station. If you enjoy stinking cheese, cured meats, homemade olive bread and great French vino - go eat.
