The Breakfast Club
They say if there's an inconvenient queue down the street outside a restaurant - go in.
And that's what my fellow novice fashion journos and I did this morning at Hoxton's The Breakfast Club.
Go eat if you love a traditional American breakfast/brunch/lunch/afternoon snack with a twist. With dishes like 'Ham so Eggsited' - you can't go wrong.
Pure yum.
p.s. the waiters are hot.

My first London Fashion Week
My first LFW certainly exceeded expectations. I never expected to get into a show, let alone two!
Whilst squeezing into the queue for Corrie Nielsen I bumped into a friend of mine from LCF who managed to give me a spare invitation for the show as well as Krystof Strozyna's later that day. I definitely owe her a drink!
With one invitation mixed with the phrase 'The PR who gave me this ticket mentioned I could bring a few extra people if there was space' it was easy to squeeze in a few friends.
Corrie Nielsen's collection was simply stunning. I couldn't have imagined losing my fashion week virginity to anyone else. With plaids, prints and feathers inspired by her Scottish heritage and the bagpipes playing in the background, it was very special to me. She is a great designer and would love to meet her.
On account of this blog I managed to waggle my way into the TopShop exhibition where I saw this unbeliavably fabulous Erickson Beamon...thing. How would you describe this?
After people watching, tea drinking and fashion immersing had whet our appetite at Somerset House we headed off to the Freemasons Hall to catch Krystof Strozyna's new collection. The modernly slick range was more ready-to-wear than that of Corrie Nielsens but equally as fantastic.
Afterwards I chatted with the stunning Amelle, who said I looked gorgeous :)

A perfect Sunday afternoon stop
It was hardly a sizzling Sunday so I decided to head off the the Natural History museum and take a look at the Wildlife Photography Awards Exhibit. Definately worth a look. There were some unbelievable images on show by some truly talented photographers.
The photojournalist of the year award went to Spain's Daniel Beltra and his collection 'The Price of Oil'. Beltra's images were taken around the BP oil spill disaster of 2010. He noticed that all disaster photographs were dramatic and unattractive. He believed making his photographs beautiful would grasp people's attention more. He was right. I was in awe of his work, some of which appearing almost like abstract art. Take a look...

Crimson Crude
Still Life in Oil
Oil Print
From Sea to Air
Beneath the Surface
After the NHM I went for some nibbles at La Cave a Fromage near South Ken Tube Station. If you enjoy stinking cheese, cured meats, homemade olive bread and great French vino - go eat.
What are you hungry for?
Yesterday in Shoreditch I stumbled across the first issue of a great new bi-annual magazine called the Hunger. Claiming to be aimed at 'the culturally and visually hungry' this mag, or should I say textbook (it's over 500 pages long) certainly delivers a breath of fresh air to the hungry eyes and mind.
Rankin, the editor, who has been a photographer for many years, has shot many of the images himself. Hat's off to him - they are all magnificent and almost certainly will curb the hunger of the visually hungry.
Rankin states in his first editors letter that the magazine is 'not about being cool, knowledgeable or elisist' but simply what fascinates and excites him. Amazing.
With stunning shoots, and informally raw and intriguing interviews with huge names such as Erin O'Connor, and Danny Dyer as well as up-and-comers like Sky Ferreira (who features on some covers, Rhys Ifans on the others), this cultural bible is well worth the minuscule £4.00 price.
I especially love how Rankin did a huge shoot with Cheryl Cole is some jaw dropping couture but didn't feel the need to stick an interview or feature in, just the images. That was all which was needed.

Artemis Paris - Part of the 20th Anniversary Capsule Collection
Long hair beware as you're in for a tangling scare...
But nevertheless, check out this bobby dazzler. Christian Louboutin is so much more than the signature red sole. I love it when fashion pieces cross the line to almost becoming pieces of art.

Gonna be an ear busting, drink flowing, hip shaking, voice breaking night on Saturday night in Scotland's capital with Karnival's 6th birthday. Taking place in the world's '13th Best Nightclub', Cabaret Voltaire - this is the night Januarys been waiting for. With some of the best DJs around, including some of my buddies making it up all the way from London town - I can't wait!
The London Fashion Weekend will take place from the 23rd to 26th February at the glamorous Somerset House. With pop up bars a plenty and great fashion names it's safe to say I will be there!!

Office MINTED COURT LEOP/TIGER PONY Shoes - Womens High Heels Shoes - Office Shoes
These are my new favourite shoes. I literally ran into the shop after I spotted them. Barely a second after the shop assistant allowed me to slip one on my foot I announced 'I'll take them'. Prada has a very similiar shoe out at the moment and I actually think the Office version look better!
